The Greater Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce

Celebrating 100 years of serving businesses in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, Arkansas.

Founded in 1911, the Greater Pine Bluff Chamber of Commerce continues to serve members and the community by being a champion for business in Jefferson County.

In 1995, The Chamber and the Jefferson County Industrial Foundation merged to create the Economic Development Alliance, providing Pine Bluff/Jefferson County with a more efficient and more effective community and economic development organization.

Pine Bluff serves as the Southeast Arkansas regional center for employment, business, health care, professional services and recreation. We also have a diverse manufacturing base that turns out goods such as automotive closure caps, cottonseed oil, paper and liquid packaging board, wood products, wire products, processed poultry, electric transformers and fabricated metals. We have two industrial parks that have the infrastructure necessary to make manufacturing and distribution operations successful. The 372-acre Harbor Industrial District at the port features available buildings and sites. The 785-acre Jefferson Industrial Park features a select industry mix, available sites for new construction, and a speculative shell building.

Jefferson County is in the heart of a rich agricultural area in the Arkansas River Basin. Leading agricultural products are cotton, soybeans, cattle, rice, poultry, timber and farm-raised catfish. Pine Bluff is a multi-modal transportation center: I-530, four U.S and five state highways; service by Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF plus a major UP electronic classification yard near our port; access to inland waterways ports and international ports; and air services 40 minutes’ driving time to Little Rock National Airport (and a local airport, Grider Field, with a 6,000-foot runway with ILS).

Our 3-county MSA population is over 100,000, and we’re part of the 14-county central Arkansas region with a population approaching one million. We are also home to a 4-year university as well as a 2-year community college known for its workforce training capabilities.

The community affords varied cultural and recreational activities. One focal point is the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, which provides a broad spectrum of exhibits and events. Among a variety of concerts and events, the Pine Bluff Convention Center hosts performances by the Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra. And sportsmen and outdoor enthusiasts are drawn to a variety of parks, ball fields, championship golf courses and premier fishing waters.
